Getting Started
The first step towards succeeding in your Distance Learning Program is to become acquainted with the LLNL site coordinator, Kathy Zobel at (925) 422-9335. She will have the most current information concerning which classes will be webcast in the upcoming quarter. Once you have selected a course, you may choose to enroll as an Open Campus or continuing student.
Open Campus Enrollment:
Many students begin with Open Campus enrollment while waiting to be admitted to a degree program. You may be allowed to transfer up to 12 units of credit for post-baccalaureate work taken through UC Davis's University Extension Open Campus Program prior to admission to a graduate program. You will receive credit for Open Campus coursework upon approval of your department's graduate adviser. Check with your department's graduate adviser before taking a course on an Open Campus basis to establish that it is transferable to a degree program. Application forms for open campus are available on-line.
Continuing Enrollment:
After you have been accepted to a degree program through the Graduate Division, you may enroll as a continuing student. Application packets and information for admission to graduate status may be obtained by calling the Graduate Division, (530) 752-0650, or by contacting the individual engineering departments: College of Engineering Departments.
